Teaching Philosophy:

Teaching Languages and Social Studies is a great part of my life, but most

Of all I consider myself a learner.  My teaching style is evolving daily

Through professional development, exchanging ideas with my peers and

Most importantly by listening to the students.

I see myself as a facilitator combining different styles of learning.  My objective

as a teacher is to motivate the students toward a level of independence where

They develop a desire to learn and think for themselves. 

I also wish to promote appreciation and cross cultural awareness.  I try to

Connect learning to student’s values, goals and expectations.  In class I highlight

Individual talents and tap into each student’s strengths in order to personalize

Their experience.  As a teacher I strive to be very patient, listen to the students

and show them that I care.  In class I present a variety of materials, techniques,  

inputs and above all I keep my sense of humor.
